To verify MEGA1's fire resistance and demonstrate the product's ability to protect user safety and property, we subjected MEGA1 to violent diesel "open flame burning." After full combustion within a temperature range of 600°C - 1200°C, we verified the safety of the product's materials and design.
After the fire extinguished, the entire unit remained intact, did not catch fire, and the front panel was not hot to the touch. While incidents of vehicle tablets catching fire might be rare, if the power connection part ignites for various reasons, causing the tablet to burn and potentially lead to safety issues, it's an outcome no one wants to see.
Beyond physical ruggedness and safety, we have also designed a power-off protection mechanism for MEGA1, ensuring that instantaneous data is not lost due to unexpected power failure, providing customers with reliable data security.
Safety is the Ultimate Luxury
MEGA1 has added 6 physical buttons on the front panel. The product team debated for a long time about whether to add buttons. Why the hesitation? Because in 2018, when designing the first-generation product, we firmly removed physical buttons. At that time, we compared ourselves to several major mainstream solution companies overseas, who had also de-emphasized physical buttons in their new product designs. In recent years, a few customers sporadically mentioned wanting physical buttons, but we rejected them from a practicality standpoint.
Until recently, a customer said that physical buttons gave him a sense of reassurance. The word "reassurance" moved us. For this customer's peace of mind, we decided this time to add physical buttons.
The display of MEGA1 has also been fully upgraded. Considering reliability and overall cost, we have adopted a high-definition, high-brightness display with a resolution of 1280*800. This time, we have met customer needs by adding a light sensor function, enabling automatic display brightness adjustment.
Other environmental characteristics maintain our consistent past performance, and we have optimized performance against vibration and shock.
